This is an old folk joke adapted by Learnin Vernon that offers a non-threatening environment to visit a scary place without staying there when the tale is over.
This story was created to provide parents and camp counselor a break from the traditional Ghost tales that left Children scared for days and for the children to still be a part of the classic campfire culture
